Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and Priyo (Priyo Inc.), a company registered in Delaware, United States, for your use of Deshe, the app and the website for Bangladeshis living abroad. In these terms, “Deshe”, “we” and “us” mean Priyo as the operator of Deshe, and “you” means the person using Deshe.

By creating an account or using Deshe, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy at deshe.app/privacy. If you do not agree, please do not use Deshe.

These terms take effect on 3 November 2026.

2. Acceptable use

When you use Deshe, you agree not to:

• (a) give false information, pretend to be someone else, or enter a location you have no connection to in order to distort counts or rankings;
• (b) upload content that is unlawful, hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually explicit, violent or misleading, or that infringes on someone else’s rights;
• (c) upload photos of private individuals or personal information about other people without their agreement, as you are responsible for the photos and information you add to Deshe and for how you use it;
• (d) try to find out who other members are, or collect data about members, by any means;
• (e) interfere with Deshe, probe it for weaknesses, or access it by automated means such as scraping or bots, except as we allow;
• (f) use Deshe for advertising, spam or commercial promotion; or
• (g) use Deshe to break any law, including the laws of Bangladesh and of the country where you live.

3. Notifications and messages

If you allow notifications, we may send you app notifications about news and events for your district or country. You can turn them off at any time in your phone’s settings. We also send sign-in verification codes to your email.

4. Our materials and third-party content

The Deshe app, website, name, logo, design and software belong to Priyo or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Deshe as these terms allow. You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse engineer any part of it.

Some district photos shown in Deshe come from other photographers and are used under their own licences, such as Creative Commons, with credit to the photographer. Those photographers keep their rights, and you may use their photos only as their licences allow.

5. Deleting your account, suspension and termination

You can leave at any time - you can delete your account in the app. Deleting it removes everything tied to your account, as the Privacy Policy explains, and it cannot be undone.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your use puts other members or Deshe at risk, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably may, we will tell you why. Sections that by their nature should continue after your account ends, including sections 8, 10, 11, 12 and 13, will continue to apply.

6. Disclaimers

• Deshe is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running well, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.
• Map counts, rankings and district information are based on what members enter and may not be accurate or complete.
• Nothing in Deshe is legal, financial or immigration advice.

7. Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, Priyo is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Deshe. However, you are required to cover Priyo’s reasonable losses, costs and claims caused by your breach of these terms or by content you upload that infringes someone else’s rights.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

8. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these terms will remain in effect. These terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our service and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time – for example, to reflect changes to the law or changes to our services. We will post the new version at deshe.app/terms with a new effective date and notify members in the app about significant changes.

Changes will not apply retroactively and will become effective no sooner than fourteen days after they are posted. However, changes addressing new functions for a service or changes made for legal reasons will be effective immediately.

If you keep using Deshe after the effective date, you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, you can discontinue your use of the service or delete your account.
